What is the Essential Eight?+
The Essential Eight is the Australian Cyber Security Centre's baseline of eight mitigation strategies — like multi-factor authentication, patching and backups — scored across maturity levels 0 to 3. It's the standard most Australian businesses and government suppliers are measured against, and where we usually start.
We're a small business — is this really worth it for us?+
Yes. Small and regional businesses are targeted precisely because attackers assume the defences are weaker. The highest-impact controls — MFA, hardened backups, staff awareness — are affordable and fast to put in place. We right-size everything to your business.
Do we need all 14 services?+
